Make It Real.

Designing physical experiences for digital activations.

In a world where opportunities involving AI and other emerging technologies are nearly limitless, stakeholders are empowered to innovate faster and smarter.

Our global consultancy client sought to create an experiential space in the expo hall based on their cutting-edge research. While the goal was to blend the physical and the digital, our client was also cognizant of the expo hall’s ecosystem of surrounding partner exhibitors. The brand needed help identifying ways to bring to life their front-line research, rivaling top tech, without overshadowing the booths of their partner exhibitors.

Solution

Through consultative conversations, InVision identified two ways to execute the experience based on the client’s goals, and delivered a conceptual plan that outlined how InVision could bring their case-studies to life in the physical space. After final approvals, InVision moved from concept to execution across multiple categories.

The final output realized two separate experiential activations for the space — one that utilized augmented reality, and one that utilized generative AI.

Augmented reality experience
InVision created three 3D printed objects, in-house from scratch, that each correspond to a different case study from our client’s research. Using a tablet to explore, these objects served as “anchors” for the AR experience, immersing them into case-studies they represented, while being presented in a museum-like, highly curated way.

Generative AI experience
InVision created a uniquely bespoke, generative AI experience based on attendee polling data. Attendees responded to a prompt in their own words in 200 characters or less, and in a matter of seconds the experience created an image, title, and narrative description based on their input focused on sustainability and future cities.

Result

The fully realized experience displayed the power of iterative collaboration and generative AI combined. The experience identified ways to reshape existing research in a way that felt new and exciting, while also achieving the client’s objectives. InVision shipped, assembled, tested, and ultimately staffed the experience, effortlessly, on show-site. The team also served as docents in case any questions arose. Attendees could move between all three objects at their own pace, while up to four people with iPads and headphones could experience the space at once. The activations showcased our client’s leading-edge research in innovative ways, delivering business value to their teams, while also providing a repeatable framework for future programs and events.
